Description

Description for the TRM® Level 2

The Trauma Resiliency Model®, Level 2 training explores the concept of resiliency and how to restore balance to the body and the mind after experiencing traumatic or stressful events. Level 2 training reviews the skills from Level 1 training and discusses in greater depth working with trauma reprocessing with the defensive responses.  In addition, the expressive arts will be integrated into the training to demonstrate expanded ways to utilize TRM® skills. TRM® Level 1 Training is a pre-requisite for taking TRM® Level 2.

Objectives for the TRM® Level 2

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

1. Describe three or more ways attachment theory relate to the Trauma Resiliency Model®.
2. Describe the sensory portals with SENSIMAP.
3. Practice the nine skills of the Trauma Resiliency Model.
4. Describe the orienting response and its importance to treating trauma.
5. Integrate the expressive arts including using art with TRM skills.
6. Describe the Community Resiliency Model®.
7. Recognize the survival responses to trauma.
8. Describe the survival response of “Tend and Befriend” and its importance.
9. Name one or more ways to restore the survival response.
10. Describe one or more ways to work with dissociative parts with the TRM skills.
11. Discuss the concepts of the Polyvagal theory.
12. Describe the 4 phases of the “Survival Response Continuum.”

Continuing Education Credits provided by Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES). Programs are designed to provide CE credit for Psychologists , Social Workers, and Nurses. Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists’ CE approval varies per state. Please see the following link for specific information regarding professions and states:

Psychologists
Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education credit programs. CES maintains responsibility for these programs and their content.

Marriage and Family Therapists
Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) can grant continuing education credit to Marriage & Family Therapists in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IN, IA, KS, ME, MD, MO, MT, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NC, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WI AND WY.CES maintains responsibility for these programs. Commonwealth Educational Seminars is accredited by many professional organizations to offer Continuing Education credit. As state boards meet frequently and revise and/or clarify license requirements regularly, we always recommend you check with your state board for the most recent information.

Social Workers
Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES), provider #1117 is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org through the Approval Continuing Education (ACE) Program. CES maintains responsibility for these programs. ASWB Approval period: 10/15/15-10/15/18. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits.Some states do not require pre-approval. If your state is not on the below list, please check with your state board.Commonwealth Educational Seminars can grant Social Work CEs in the following states:Al, AK, Alberta, AR, AZ, British Columbia, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, New Brunswick, NE, NH, Newfoundland & Labrador, NM, NC, ND, Nova Scotia, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, Saskatchewan, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, Virgin Islands, VI, VT, WA, WI andWY.
Nurses
As an APA approved provider, CES programs are accepted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

These courses can be utilized by nurses to renew their certification and will be accepted by the ANCC.

Every state Board of Nursing accepts ANCC approved programs except California and Iowa, however CES is also an approved Continuing Education provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider # CEP15567) which is also accepted by the Iowa Board of Nursing.

Please contact your state board if you have concerns about CE credit. All Social Workers attending programs that have been awarded Social Work Continuing Education from CES will receive a Certificate upon completion.

Refund Policy: If you cannot attend the TRM training you have registered for, we can transfer your registration fee to another future training.
