Elaine Miller-Karas featured in Psychology Today article
Elaine Miller-Karas, LCSW, was interviewed by Bryan E. Robinson Ph.D. for his article, “What Will It Be Like When the Lockdown Lifts?: Mental health aftershocks will linger and recovery will take time” which was recently published in Psychology Today.
Miss Miller-Karas is featured throughout the article outlining potential outcomes of the current pandemic and shelter in place orders on our wellbeing. She was also able to identify the Community Resiliency Model (CRM) as a viable intervention to mediate such potential outcomes by citing research recently published in Nursing Outlook which found significant increases in wellbeing and resilience as well as improvements in secondary traumatic stress reactions and somatic symptoms in medical personnel after receiving a three-hour CRM Skills training.
