Trauma Resource Institute's 2024 Annual Report
Dear Trauma Resource Institute Community,
Looking back at 2024, we offer heartfelt thanks to our worldwide community for the tremendous efforts made to bring healing during a year marked by personal hardships, natural disasters, and the tragedies of war. As a humanitarian organization, we recognize the suffering and also honor the strength and global impact of the Trauma Resource Institute (TRI) community.
It’s been a year of significant impact at TRI, marked by the expanding interest in our models and offerings on a global scale. The ripple effect of our work is immense as each person who learns our skills often shares these skills within their families, workplaces, and communities, thus amplifying our mission’s reach exponentially.
This is especially important given that in 2024 three new research articles added additional support to the already established effectiveness of our wellness skills in reducing traumatic stress symptoms and improving well-being.
In the attached PDF (click here), we share details about the 170 trainings TRI conducted in 2024 training over 1,350 individuals from diverse backgrounds in collaboration with organizations across multiple sectors within the United States and internationally. Each person trained as a Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® Teacher has the potential to train thousands of individuals.
We also share about the many ways we remain dedicated to inclusion. Whether by offering over $67,850 in scholarships to ensure that our trainings remain accessible and affordable to all who seek the skills. Or by providing over $54,978 in pro bono humanitarian support, with projects including hurricane recovery in the Southeastern U.S., and trainings in eSwatini, Haiti, Hawaii, the Middle East, and Ukraine. And thanks to private donations, we were able to rebuild our free iChill app, to include a new user-friendly interface as well as five languages, with more on their way.
As we look ahead, we remain hopeful and committed in our shared pursuit of healing, peace, and justice.
We are grateful for your continued support and partnership as we strive to make an even more significant impact in the coming year.
Chasing the Resilience,
