“I hope to one day work in community health education. Beyond my professional and academic life, I have taken this year to try new things: 1) I learn to cook a new vegetarian meal every week. 2) I have begun my own fitness journey--it's tough. 3) I try to read 1-2 books every month!”
Q&A
How did you learn about the Trauma Resource Institute (TRI)?
My mother received the CRM training and she introduced me to TRI’s work. She knew I’d value TRI’s mission.
What interested you about working with TRI?
Initially, I appreciated that TRI approached trauma and resilience from both the professional and community spheres through the two trainings they offered: TRM & CRM. After learning more, I loved that the CRM training is really this self-sustaining model where one individual has the ability to bring healing and information to their own communities.
How do you enjoy your free time?
I do photography, I love to travel, but you will always find me spending time with my family.
Do you have pets?
I do not, but I plan on owning a snake one day. Currently saving for one...
What is a fun fact that people are surprised to learn about you?
I am named after a town in Minnesota. The name means “firstborn daughter” but I have an older sister. Oops!
